The swallows will be looking for new homes soon. Can you lend them a wing?

Greener Village is more than a single building. We’re located on 20 acres of land that goes right to the river’s edge. In addition to our 4 greenhouses and our Community Gardens we are also developing our outdoor space into a Learning and Discovery Centre. This living classroom and community gathering space will include an edible forest, butterfly gardens, herb gardens, and lots and lots of wildlife! We hope to find dozens of different species of birds, mammals, butterflies and wildflowers in our Learning and Discovery Center and we need your help to welcome our friends.

Join us as we prepare nesting boxes for the many species of bird that share this space with us. We need many nesting boxes for Eastern Bluebirds, Tree Swallows, Black-capped Chickadees and any other species you think we might attract.

Building a nesting box or birdhouse doesn’t need to be difficult or expensive. Take a look at these tutorials:
