August 23rd: Genre Benefit Concert
Genre will be performing at Officer’s Square on August 23rd and they have very generously accept donations of food or cash in aid of the Food Bank. Please come out and support this wonderful group, and don’t forget to bring something for the Food Bank!
August 31: Zombie Walk & Food drive
Last year the Zombie Walk raised 700lbs of food for the Food bank. This year they’re aiming to raise at least 1000lbs!
September 15: Open House
You are invited to Greener Village Community Food Centre’s OPEN HOUSE on Sunday, September 15th from 11:00AM – 4:00PM, 686 Riverside Drive. The Fredericton Food Bank has been busy transforming itself into a Community Food Centre and we’re ready to show off a bit.
Tuck into our locally-sourced Fundraising Breakfast of blueberry pancakes and baked beans ($5 per person – served from 11:00AM-1:00PM). Come behold the inner workings of our Food Distribution Warehouse. Browse through our new Clothing Boutique and support our food security-related programming and workshops with a purchase or two. Treat yourself to an ice cream or sampling of local fare while strolling through our Community Gardens, Compost Demonstration Site, Native Edible Tree & Shrub Garden…or dare to take our “Mystery Tour of the Woodlands”.
